She’s big but smaller than a horse box for 1234 horses

Ok so it’s a proud day for Pixipixel as we are now officially one of the UK’s smaller energy suppliers!

Once our latest 3 generator trucks arrive from the manufacturer, we will have a combined output of over one mega-watt of electricity. That’s 1341.02 horse power and that would be a lot of nags and a hell of a lot of horse poop to clean up.

Apparently, 1 megawatt is enough power to run 164 average UK homes (not mine as I have a teenager) or to put it another way we could in theory boil 500 kettles at the same time or charge 198 thousand iPhones simultaneously. If you feel a little macabre then we could power up 454 ½ electric chairs. Anybody else find it a little strange that it takes almost exactly the same amount of power to boil a kettle as it does to boil an inmate on death row, obviously because we drink so much tea in the UK that’s why we don’t have the death penalty.

My favourite statistic however is that we now have enough generator power to run two PA systems equal to the record breaking Iron Maiden set up at Castle Donnington in 1988 that was at the time the loudest ever punching out over 130 Db of metal mayhem, I did enjoy that gig and the bottle fights and moshing (we invented moshing back in the 80’s) was a shame that two people died in the mud that day but what a day it was Maiden, Kiss, Guns and Roses, David Lee Roth, Megadeth…..lets rock!

Now don’t test my maths too carefully but one of our directors drives a Mitsubishi Outlander Hybrid it has two electric motors totalling 55 kw in power and will do 54 km on a charge so to my mind we have enough power to send him 972 km away from us without having to spend a penny, Sorry Steve but that seems like a great idea to me, enjoy Jon O Groats.

Our generator fleet starts at a 2 kw Honda and goes all the way up to a 200-kw truck mounted beast.

To concentrate on vehicle mounted units we have 35 kw Mercedes sprinters, 55 kw Mitsubishi Canters (4-wheel drive), 60 kw, 100 kw, 160 kw and 200 kw units all based on 18 tone trucks.

We have a wide range of output combinations in both single and 3 phase and various wattages so we will have something to power whatever you want wherever you want.

Some of the vans even have a bit of room for kit too (check this with us because some are so close to the maximum weight limit that we need to employ skinny drivers just to be safe)

Talking about drivers, we can provide those too and generator techs, in fact everything you need power wise from leads to cable ramps, RCD’s to FDU’s.
