Pixipixel supplies camera and lighting kit for Starstruck Season 2

Pixipixel is proud to have supplied the camera and lighting equipment for Starstruck Season 2, shot by cinematographer Will Hanke and lit by gaffer Sam Madden.

Starstruck, BBC iPlayer’s most popular comedy of 2021, returns for season 2 for the rejoice of all rom-com fans. The new episodes continue to follow the story of ex-pat Jessie (Rose Matafeo) who makes a spontaneous decision to miss her return flight to New Zealand and stay in London to pursue a relationship with famous actor Tom Kapoor (Nikesh Patel) after their one-night-stand. Surely there'll be plenty of laughs and dramatic moments as Rose faces the consequences of her grand gesture.  

Following on from season 1, it was absolute pleasure for the Pixipixel’s team to work again with DOP Will Hanke. The new season was filmed last summer in London with a Sony Venice camera package paired with a set of Hawk C Series Anamorphic lenses to continue the modern look and feel of the Starstruck series.

Starstruck season 2 will air weekly from Monday 7 February on BBC Three and will be available on the BBC iPlayer. Before the bridge-watching starts, here’s the trailer showing us the course of love isn't running smoothly:
