We are committed to lower our carbon footprint and become a net zero carbon business by 2030.
We acknowledge the impact, both positive and negative, that our actions have on the world. As we reduce our Pixipixel’s emissions year on year, we are also offsetting our remaining measured emissions to achieve Carbon Neutrality.
Pixipixel is part of the Green Pledge movement. Led by Focus Puller Jason Henwood, Green Pledge aligns all Film & TV rental houses to a common goal to do better for our planet.
We have been listed as an Albert Sustainable Supplier. Albert is a BAFTA-led authority leading the charge against climate change, bringing the screen industries together to tackle our environmental impact and inspire sustainable living.
OUR SUSTAINABILITY EFFORTS
Since 2017, we’ve made significant changes in the way we manage and operate our business to make a positive difference. While we are proud of the steps we are taking, we know we aren’t yet going far enough and continue to work to become an ever more sustainable business.
HVO Fuel
All vehicles and generators in Pixipixel’s fleet are now fuelled with Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) to reduce our CO2 emissions by as much as 90%.
100% Renewable Energy
Choosing clean power is one of the biggest contributors to tackling the climate crisis. Our energy supplier matches the power we use with electricity generated from renewables.
Recycling
We sort and recycle our waste at our offices and are working towards supplying all our rental kit with rechargeable batteries only.
LED Lighting
We are ahead of the curve in terms of low energy lighting fixtures and we’re working on removing all non-essential tungsten from our rental fleet.
Sustainable Packaging
We’re saying “no-no” to single-use plastic and switched to recyclable tape and paper bags for all cables and filters, biodegradable packaging for our lighting gels, and reusable tubes for all spare lamps.
Ethical Offices
Our amazing team members choose everything carefully from energy-efficient equipment to non-toxic cleaning products, and we go digital whenever possible.
